It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert A. Mathis of Adel, Georgia, born in Woodbridge, Virginia, who passed away on January 21, 2022, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Mathis and Dora Leikert Mathis; and his siblings, Charlie Mathis, Jr., Barbara Mathis and Elisabeth Novakovich.
He is survived by: his niece Christina Fountain (Richard); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Shane, Richie, Hunter and Jaidyn; his stepmother Winifred Mathis; his brothers, Floyd Mathis and Johann Mathis; his stepsiblings, James Fussell, Barbara Floyd and Sheila White; and his friend Joe Futch. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
