He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Harold "Catfish" Ashley and Gladys Grantham Ashley of Hahira; his wife Betty Phelps Ashley; his son Kenny Ashley; his granddaughter Amber Lynne Ashley; and his sisters, Louise Warner, Eleanor Warner, Ruby Ashley and Nancy Ann Ashley.
He is survived by: his sons, David (Cindy Ashley) and Vic (Alice Ashley); and his grandchildren, Jason Brady of Adel, Jerrod (Christi Stalvey), Jody (John Smith), Jessy (Jacob Jones), Kaitlyn Ashley of Hahira and Matthew Ashley (Anna Ashley) of Adel. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
