It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Felix Scarboro of Adel, Georgia, born in Angier, North Carolina, who passed away on November 17, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Harris Scarboro, Sr. and Grace Midas Pate Scarboro; his wife Dorothy Louise "Dot" Radford Scarboro; his daughters, Donna Kim Scarboro Thornton and Lorie Apperson-Moore; his son-in-law David Apperson; and his siblings, Benny Scarboro, Jr. and Janice S. Daniels.
He is survived by: his daughter Linda; his son-in-law Ray Rowan of Sparks, Georgia; his grandchildren, Chris, Rita Posey of Sparks, Johnathan, Lee Thornton of Atlanta, Robert Rowan of Sparks, Gary, Brittany Rowan of Sparks, Crystal, Steven Carter of Adel, Joseph and Lucy Thornton of Jacksonville, Florida; his sister Cecilia Redd of Garner; and also Pat Goforth of Adel. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
Memorials in memory of Mr. Scarboro may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Shriners Hospitals for Children, Sheriff's Boys Ranch or to the American Cancer Society.
