Gilbert Charles Sharpe Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gilbert Charles Sharpe of Adel, Georgia, who passed away on October 4, 2021, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Sharpe, Sr. and Dorothy Johnson Sharpe; and his brother John T. Sharpe, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughters, Jessica Sharpe Hinson and Beth Sharpe Fish of Adel; his grandchildren, Bailey Hinson, Chance Hinson of Adel, Ali Fish of Adel, Breeanna, Zachary and Luke Fish of Moultrie; the mother of his children Hazel Davis (Michael); and his siblings, Shelvia Houston (Sonny), Sue Houston (Todd), Robert Sharpe and Chester Sharpe. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as several great nieces and nephews.

He retired from the Boll Weevil Eradication Foundation, where he worked in Tennessee, after which he moved back to Georgia.
