She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert M. Elrod and Doris R. Taylor; her husband Milton Wayne Mayes; her daughter Melody Yvette Googe; and her sister Linda Arnold.
She is survived by: her mother-in-law Geneva Mayes; her son Charles Bedwell (Kimberly) of Yulee, Florida; her grandchildren, Taylor Googe, Richard Jeremiah "Jamie" Bedwell, Keith Howard Googe and Jakobe Seamus Foster Bedwell (Alyssa); and her brothers, Steven M. Elrod (Terri) and Randall Wayne "Randy" Elrod (Janet). She is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.
