She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Welch and Mattie Sue Welch; her husband Dan Mathews; her son Ray Mathews; and her brothers, James W. Welch and Wayne W. Welch.

She is survived by: her daughter Patricia Ward. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 8 great -great grandchildren.
