He is survived by: his wife Brenda Anderson; his children, Monica Anderson, LaSherrick Anderson and LaRhonda Anderson; his stepchildren, Taran Thomas, Rufus Thomas, Jr. (ChirShonda) and Dominique Brown; his siblings, Larri Anderson of New York, Charles Anderson of Winter Garden, Florida, Linda Gail Anderson of Winter Garden, Florida, Rickey Anderson of Winter Garden, Florida, Freddy Rolle of Winter Garden, Florida, Erica Madison of Winter Garden, Florida and Victor Rolle of Ocoee, Florida; his aunt Hurie Mae McMillian; his grandchildren, Casey Heads, Shariah Anderson and LaSherrick Anderson, Jr.; his nieces and nephews, Shondra Anderson, Chantel Anderson, Robert Shazier, Markisha Tillman and Taurneshia Owens; and his parents-in-law, Tara Jackson, Emma Jean Battle (Benjamin), Willie James Smith, Patricia Devose (Robert) and Mary Birdsong. He is also survived by ten other grandchildren, nieces, nephews: grand nieces and nephews, cousins and many sorrowing friends.
