He was predeceased by: his sister Margaret Smith. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn; his children, Sean (Aliza) and Sarah (Aleks); his stepdaughter Lauren; his grandsons, Luca and Ezra; and his siblings, Patricia Dillman, Eleanor Coyne of Pittsburgh, PA and Mark Coyne of Frederick, MD..
