Constance M. Garrity Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Constance M. Garrity of Vero Beach, Florida, born in Elmira, New York, who passed away on March 30, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard L. Wood and Mary Halstead Wood; her husband Russell T. Garrity; and her stepdaughter Deborah Landon. She is survived by: her daughter Tyna Collier; her son-in-law Brian of Vero Beach; her stepchildren, Cynthia Garrity of Pennsylvania, James M. Garrity of Pennsylvania and John Garrity (Kimberly) of Pennsylvania; her siblings, Linda Corbin, Gary Wood of Pennsylvania and Galen Wood (Jo Cassel Telenko) of Pennsylvania; her granddaughters, Tara Henderson (Chris) of Vero Beach and Megen King (John) of Vero Beach; and her stepgranddaughter Leah Landon. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark's Anglican Church general fund, honoring Constance's commitment to her faith community, or to VNA Hospice House at VNATC.org. Additionally, contributions may be made to recognize the exceptional care provided by Brookdale Memory Care facility during her two years there.
