She was predeceased by: her parents, Darrell Custer and Vera Godwin Custer. She is survived by: her husband Dr. W. Alston Brown III; her children, David, Michele (Mason) and Michael; her grandchildren, Cody, Emily and Lanny; her son-in-law Brad Mason; and her great grandchild Persephone Dignan.

They respectfully decline flowers and specify no memorial contributions.
