He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Carolyn and John Charles Stanton; and his brother Robert Stanton. He is survived by: his wife Carol Livingston; his children, Sarah Stanton and Mark Stanton; and his pet Arlo. He is also survived by twelve siblings and his many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center.
