He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville Stoops and Marie Stoops (Stetler). He is survived by: his wife Judith A. Stoops; and his children, Janet Burkhalter (Mike) of Indiana and Jay Stoops (Widhi) of Florida. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Associatioin or Life Path Hospice, Sun City Center, FL.
