He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel S. Clayton and Marjorie Orndoff Clayton; and his son Mark Allen Clayton. He is survived by: his wife Grace Lynn Fink-Clayton; his children, Michael Clayton (Julie) of Moundsville, WV, Dixie Clayton Smith of Moody, Texas, Wendy Kluk (Steven) of Kernersville, NC and Kelley Massey of Dyersburg, TN.; his stepchildren, Leslie Premo (Tom), Tim Peterson (Meredith) and Matt Peterson (Samantha); his half-siblings, David Robinson, Robert Robinson and Rebecca Anderson; his grandchildren, Corinne Clayton Greene (Nathan), Brady Clayton, Michael Smith, Tyler Kluk (Ashley), Ryan Kluk, Leeann Kluk and Braden Massey; and his stepgrandchildren, Jacob, Jordan (Alicia), Jenna (Moises), Lindsay, Kaleigh, Logan, Noah, Cade, Gracelyn, Neyland, Jase and Emma Grace.
He requests, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
