She was predeceased by: her father William Cannon; her husband Hance Brittain Thornton; her son Franklin "Frankie" Wilkes; and her brothers, Willard Cannon and Lewis Cannon.
She is survived by: her former husband Henry Wilkes; her sons, Pete Thornton (Shirley) of Starke, FL and Rev. Larry Thornton (Nancy) of Lawtey, FL; her stepmother Maggie Stancel Cannon of St. Augustine, FL; her siblings, Tommy Cannon (Sandra) of Branford, FL, Ruby Cannon Hunt of Newberry, FL, Velma Cannon Creamer (Herman) of Jacksonville, FL, Ann Cannon of St. Augustine, FL, Lillie Cannon Clark (Greg) of Starke, FL and Thelma Cannon Gibson of Jacksonville, FL; and her grandchildren, Donna Gail Wilkes, Babo Wilkes (Tina), Henry Wilkes (Charlene Darrah), Lonna Wilkes, Jason Wilkes, James Thornton (Angela), Mary Konkel (George), Annette Everett (Clint), Chad Thornton (Shelia), Brittain Thornton, Shane Thornton (Melissa) and Timmy Thornton (Brandi). She is also survived by many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
