George Austin Winkler Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 13, 2022, at the age of 90, George Austin Winkler of Starke, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Edwin Austin Winkler; his wife Burney Winkler (Rowsey); his daughter Rebecca Eugenia Winkler; his siblings, Warren Winkler, Edward Winkler, Julia Underhill, Merry Shepherd and Martha Smith; his granddaughter Megan Jackson; and his son-in-law Gene McCarn.
He is survived by: his daughters, Melissa Winkler Stringer of Dahlonega and Clare Winkler McCarn of Ludowici, Georgia; his grandchildren, Rileigh Alyssa Stringer, Rhett Austin Stringer and Colton Garrett Infinger; his great grandchildren, Colt Thomas Stringer, Kayden Lane Kareklas and Charlie Paul Stringer; and his sister-in-law Sue Winkler of Starke. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Building Fund for St. Marks, 212 N, Church St., Starke, FL 32091.
