He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Mielke and Lillian Mielke; his wife Mary Ann; and his siblings, Ray, Elvira and Myrtle.
He is survived by: his children, Michael (Christy Mielke), Ann Mielke (John Eicher), Peter (Beth Mielke) and Amy Hillenbrand (Bob Brock); and his grandchildren, Kirstin (Jason), Nathan (Lisa), Aaron (Tiffany), Mary, Caroline and Samuel. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks those who wish to make a donation to designate it to a charity that was a part of Don's life: Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch, which helps at-risk children and their families succeed in the name of Christ, or the Hospice organization that cared for Don.
