He was predeceased by: his parents, J. W. Cloud and Frances Cloud; and his son Chris Cloud. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Cloud; his children, Marie Barnes (Rick) of Grand Ridge, Kristal L. Simpson (Shelly) of Sneads, Sherry Cloud of Sneads and John D. Cloud, Jr. (April); his siblings, Meartice Faircloth of Bristol, Ida Wagner of Sneads, Annie Davis (Joe) of Altha and Robert Cloud (Cecilee) of Grand Ridge; his grandchildren, Chance Barnes (Tori), Alissa Chambliss (Kameron), Katimarie Barnes (DJ), Jay Hurst, Aaron Hurst, Lilly Hurst, Matthew Hurst, Jesse Rosenberger, Tristian Cloud, Tara Cloud and Shelly Ray Simpson, Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Charleigh Barnes and Riley Simpson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
