It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald J. Downey (Sanibel, Florida), born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 20, 2020, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Downey and Sarah Downey; his wife Joan; and his daughters, Kathleen Downey of Granada Hills, Kristin McConnell of Amarillo, Mary Downey (Mimi) of Fort Myers and Constance Clancy of Sanibel Island. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be sent to the Alzheimer's Foundation and Hope Hospice. Instead of flowers, the family would prefer if you would make a donation to Alzheimer's Foundation and Hope Hospice.
