She was predeceased by: her parents, Olive Freitas (Frye) of Harrington and Joseph Freitas of New Bedford, Massachusetts.; her sister Jane (Glenn Armstrong) of Lexington, MA; and her nephew Scott. She is survived by: her husband Paul A. Vernaglia, MD; her sons, Larry and Brian; her children-in-law, Liz and Shannon; her grandchildren, John, Marina and Rebecca; her niece Leah (Bill); her siblings-in-law, Mandy and John (Rosa); and her nieces and nephews, Jane and Drew (Lynda).
Even when burdened with Alzheimer's Disease for the past couple of years (of which she never complained), her lively personality and wry sense of humor always showed through.
