He was predeceased by: his parents, William C. Kaempffer and Marie Vodola Kaempffer; and his sister Marilyn Ervin. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Daum Kaempffer; his children, Christopher Kaempffer, Karen Kaempffer (Michael McCloskey), Colts Neck and Catherine Lacey (Brian); his brother William Kaempffer; and his grandchildren, Jack, Camryn McCloskey, Sean and Charlotte Lacey.

Memorial donations to Open Door of Freehold, CentraState Healthcare Foundation, or Harry Chapin Food Bank, Fort Myers, Florida.
