He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Avery and Margaret Avery; his sister Dolores Hutchinson; and his grandson Jeremy Michael Avery. He is survived by: his children, Richard Douglas Avery (Heather), Ronald Eugene Avery (Kerry) and Yvonne Kay Avery; the mother of his children Ruth Yvonne Avery; his grandson Ty Alan Avery; his sister Josephine Hall; his nieces, Patricia Stan, Debbie Shaeffer and Lisa Hutchinson Weyler; and his nephew Eddie Hutchinson.
