He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Akins and Vivian Akins (Young); and his brother Roy. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Akins (Peggy) of St. Cloud, FL.; his children, Charles Akins (Carrie) of Furlong, PA, Cathy Barton (John) of St. Cloud, FL and Cary Akins (Melinda) of Rochester, NY.; his grandchildren, Zachary Barton, Ryan Akins, Nicholas Akins and Alena Barton; and his siblings, Kathy Gilbert (Peter) of Sebring, FL, William Akins (Gloria) of Lisbon, NY and Linda Tracy of Sanford, FL.. He is also survived by many cousins and nieces and nephews.
