She was predeceased by: her parents, George W. Karnes and Virginia Ruth Karnes; her sister Donna Elizabeth Hilliard; her significant other Clarence "C. C." Williams; and her husband David Dunn of Beckley, WV.

She is survived by: her sister Barbara Wade (Richard); her close friend James Schuler (Ann); and her nieces and nephews, Cheryl Rooney (Bob), Alicia Gartelmann (Reid), Gerry Wade (Holly), Kyle Sandberg (Julia), Steven Karnes Holliday, Jeremy James Holliday and William D. Holliday IV.
