She was predeceased by: her mother Frances Burch; and her husband Harry Gayton. She is survived by: her sons, Garry and Jeffrey Ward; her granddaughters, Kara Ward (John Mattingly), Lindsey Chandler (Jason) and Jennifer Ward; her great grandchildren, Keegan, Willow, Maxwell and Jazmin; and her caregiver Katie Schmahl.
