He was predeceased by: his brother Jesse Ellis; and his grandparents, Win, Margaret Ellis, Bill and Josephine Kreisl.
He is survived by: his daughter Harper May; his wife Lisa; his parents, Rear Admiral and Rosemary Ellis; his siblings, Karri Smith (Terrill) and Chris Ellis (Vanesa); his mother-in-law Alma Thomas; his brother-in-law Dene Thomas (Jennifer); his aunts, Carolyn Yon (David), Carol Coughlin (Frank) and Annette Masker (Tuck); and his uncle Bill Kreisl (Michele). He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins and extended family.
