We are sad to announce that on May 28, 2021, at the age of 92, Jerome Sloan Fletcher of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, born in Orlando, Florida passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Zabud Fletcher and Mildred Baker Fletcher; and his brothers, John Newton Fletcher and Charles Fletcher. He is survived by: his daughters, Jessica Fletcher Laubacker (Dan) and Brittany Fletcher Dudley (Isaac); the parent of his children Michele Fletcher; his grandchildren, Sloan, Locklan, Daniel Jr., Drake Jerome Laubacker and Jude Dudley; his brothers, Tucker and Paul Fletcher (Connie); and his nieces and nephews, Susan Fletcher Batten (Michael), Stephanie Fletcher Peterson (Greg), Naniscah Fletcher (Andrew), Trisha Dyess (Tom), Connie Fletcher Staton (Aaron), Scott Diamond, Lou Fletcher (Sarah), John L. Fletcher, Tucker Fletcher and Charles Fletcher. He is also survived by other grandnieces, grandnephews, family, and friends.
He co-founded the Ponte Vedra Public Education Foundation for the Arts, chaired the board of the Museum of Science and History, and took the helm of the board of Jacksonville Country Day School at the end of the 1970s.
