He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving F. Knowles and Martha Marietta Knowles (Gowe). He is survived by: his children, Mary S. Montgomery (Michael) of Neptune Beach, FL, G. Michael (Peggy), Patricia A. Fidrych (Anthony) of Port Royal, SC, Timothy (Barbara) of Danbury, CT, Catherine O'Brien (Seamus) of Boston, MA and Elizabeth LaPlante (Raye) of Rockland, MA.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his name to The Military Order of the Purple Heart.
