She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Elmer Ellsworth James and Mattie Carol Causey; her husband Calvin Vees; her siblings, Rachel James (Schaffner), Mary James Braddock, Elmer James (Barbara) and Laura Edna McNallay (Larry); her daughters, Johnnie Breed and Nancy Slater (Jim); her grandchildren, Michael Cordell, Terry Cordell (Lori), Allison Slater Tate (Trey) and Scott Slater (Stacy); and her great grandchildren, Miss Ellie, Casey Cordell, Izzac Cordell, Morgan, Gabe, Addison, Ellie Slater, Mason, Charlie, Ben and Lucy Tate. She was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
