He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandparents, Battle and Eula Scott Bagley; his parents, Eugene Benjamin and Mary Frances Bagley Higgins of Shelbyville; his close friend Knox Pitts III; his siblings, Bob Higgins, Eugene B. Higgins Jr. and Mary Battle Thompson (Bob); his nephew Walter Benjamin Thompson (Catherine Lemaire Lozier); his niece Catherine Thompson Borman (Gabe); his great-nieces, Rosie of Nashville and Maggie of Nashville; his nephew Paul Thompson of Dorset; and his goddaughter Shelby Thomas of Lewes.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 600 North Brittain Street, Shelbyville TN 37160 or to a political cause of your choice that would have Walter's approval.
