He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Sharpe and Dacy Mae Sharpe (Pafford); his daughters, Melissa and Shannon; and his grandson Cayden.

He is survived by: his wife Kathy Sharpe of Polk City, Florida; his children, Randy Sharpe (Darlene) of Port Charlotte, Steve Sharpe of Port Charlotte, Charles Sharpe of Polk City, Florida, Terri Sharpe of Port Charlotte and Misty Sharpe of Auburndale, Florida; and his stepchildren, Michael Kirkland of Lakeland, Freddie Kirkland (Jennifer) of Winter Haven, Florida and Heather Mallard of Georgia. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
