She was predeceased by: her father Axel; her daughter Helen; her friend Bob Hall; her former husband Gordon Holmen; her brother Dr. Clayton Nelson (Lorraine); and her nephew Paul Nelson.
She is survived by: her caregiver Lorraine; her children, Karen, Bill Holmen (Gail), Dr. James Olson (Kitty) of Hendersonville, Dr. John Olson of Orlando and Dr. Anita Olson Gustafson (Charlie) of Clinton; and her friend Anne Owens. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren.
