It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Clarke Downey (Plantation, Florida), born in Montréal, Québec, who passed away on August 31, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her sister Joyce; her children, David (Julie) and Anne (Chuck); her grandchildren, Megan (Tyler), Nicole (Alex) and Nicholas; her great grandchildren, Luke and Emma; her siblings, Martin, Francis, Redmond (Buddy), John, Evelyn (Goldie), Kathleen (Kay) and Margaret; her parents, Anne Fury Clarke and John Clarke; her sister Kay; her husband Charles Downey; her pets, Joan, Joyce, Montréal and South of Florida; and also John. She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In honor of Joan's memory, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Catholic Charities of Broward County instead of sending flowers.
