She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Elena and Julio Enrique. She is survived by: her brother Ernesto Guzman; and her children, Claudia Janeth Rincon, Francisco Alberto Rincon, Elena Viviana Campos and Fernando Enrique Campos.
Elena was actively involved with the Lions Club International, a non profit charity organization, and served as the president of the Hollywood Colombian Lions Club chapter.
