She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lawson and Margaret Lawson; and her siblings, Carolyn Brown, Ruth Glisson, Cecil Lawson and Curtis Lawson.
She is survived by: her husband Joel David Hancock Sr.; her children, Randy Heinze, Jerry Heinze, Deborah Hancock (Bruce), Joel Hancock Jr. (Jennette), Erica Garren (Dewayne) and Shawn Hancock (Jessica); and her sister Brenda Ashley (Cecil). She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
