He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Dravio Catalani and Ida Lucia Floriani; his wife Marietta Rhein; and his siblings, Gloria Britton, Pete Catalani, John August Catalani, Sollie Rhein and Sam Hubbard (Bo).

He is survived by: his children, Joseph F. Catalani, Jr. (Allison), Angela Alberda and Sam Catalani (Michelle); his grandchildren, Tyler Catalani (Laura), Amanda Alberda (Jo), Chelsea Alberda, Daniel Alberda, Anthony Alberda, Connor Catalani, Cooper Catalani and Olivia Catalani; his great grandchildren, Isabelle Alberda, Eleanor, Harper and James Catalani; and his sister Patricia Hubbard. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home (1985 W 9 Mile Rd, Pensacola, FL 32534). A rosary will be held on Sunday, November 24th 2024 at 5:15 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Little Flower Catholic Church (6495 Lillian Hwy, Pensacola, FL 32506). A committal service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Eastern Gate Memorial Funeral Home (1985 W 9 Mile Rd, Pensacola, FL 32534).
