Christopher Matthew Vanskyhawk Obituary

On the early morning of June 5th, 2023 Christopher Matthew Vanskyhawk passed peacefully to heaven at Blake Hospital surrounded by his parents. He was born February 23, 1995 in Bradenton, Florida, and is the son of Father Shawn Savage and Mother Crystal Vanskyhawk.

Christopher attended Lakewood Ranch High School. He received his high school diploma and went on to study in several technical classes which included welding, and ultimately received several HVAC certifications. He was thriving in his career as an HVAC service repairman and salesman.

Christopher enjoyed spending time with his beloved dog, Zoey. He enjoyed riding his street bike and gaming on several different platforms. He loved spending time with his cousins, kicking up dirt on his dirt bike. Chris was brilliant and talented. He was caring and ambitious and was always eager to learn and try new things. He was always thankful when he could spend time with his family.

Christopher is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Barbara Savage, his maternal grandfather Hugh (Sonny) Van-Skyhawk, and his Uncle Matthew Van-Skyhawk.

He is survived by his father and step-mother, Shawn and Angela Savage, and two younger brothers, Erik and Aiden, his mother, Crystal Vanskyhawk, and younger brother, Ruk Asselin, as well as his maternal grandparents, Ward and Gale Vanskyhawk Pond and two uncles, Kyle Vaught and Zach Pond and bonus grandmother Regina Van-Skyhawk, uncle William (Bill) Van-Skyhawk, aunt Bethany Van-Skyhawk, aunt Rachel Van-Skyhawk, and uncle Tim Van-Skyhawk. Chris had several bonus grandparents, Susan O' Bannon, James Perano, and Lisa Hodges along with his great uncle, Rick Perano and family, Uncle Johnny and Aunt Darcia Savage, cousin Gracie, cousins Crystal and Rick Savage-Palmer, Uncle Randy and Aunt Rachel Varnum, cousins Ethan and Travis Reeves, uncle Troy and aunt Barbara Reeves, and many more family members and friends.

A service of remembrance will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 1st at Skyway Memorial Gardens, 5200 US Highway 19 North, Palmetto, Fl 34221.
