She was predeceased by: her parents, Julian W. Hughes and Beatrice Ellis Hughes; and her sisters, Lou Chappelear, Beatrice Seymour and Cecily Hobson.
She is survived by: her husband Lawrence W. Brooks, Sr.; her siblings, Dot Avery, Julian Hughes and Curtis Hughes; and her children, Lawrence W. Brooks, Jr. (Donna May), Donna Jean Fears (Randy) and Debra Faye Harrison (John). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren.
