He was predeceased by: his parents, George Leslie Puffenbarger and Ressie Lee Dove Puffenbarger; and his siblings, Irvin Puffenbarger, Dewey Puffenbarger, Bruce Puffenbarger, Virgil Puffenberger (Ona Puffenbarger), Goldie Puffenbarger Smith and Edith Winegard.
He is survived by: his nephew Gary Puffenbarger (Brigitte); and his siblings-in-law, Betty Puffenbarger of Franklin, WV and Shirldon Winegard.
