She was predeceased by: her parents, William Prevatt and Violet Prevatt (Faircloth); her siblings, Jackson Prevatt and Virginia Powell; her stepson Jimmie Collier, Jr.; and her husband Jimmie Collier, Sr..

She is survived by: her sons, Jody McDowell (April) of Glen St and Edward "Eddie" McDowell (Renee) of Macclenny; her stepson Bubba Collier of Jacksonville; and her sister Annie Mae Curry of Otter Creek. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
