He was quiet and reserved about this dangerous service but the Army Commendation Medals, Bronze Stars and Silver Star certify his valor earned while on active duty for our country.. After military service John and his family started Garden City Pools, a highly rated successful swimming pool company where his customers became friends. and for 40 years we became extended family./Don Girvan”
