He is survived by: his wife Betty Markel; his children, Glenn Markel (Cyndi) of Okeechobee and Loretta Lynn Mitten (Jeff) of Avon Park; his sisters, Midge Price of Sebring, Peggy Sapp (Roy) of Sebring and Pam Chancey of Fort Lauderdale; his grandchildren, Amber, Danielle, Mitchell, Jena, Audra and Breana; and his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Krysta, Jocelyn, Kimberly, Khloe, Kennedy and Lily. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
