He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor and Mary; his siblings, Katherine Rood, Lulu Bucknell (late Chester), Josephine Jacobs (late Frank), Harold Rood, Victor Rood Jr., Frank Rood and Roy Rood; and his nephew David "Rocky" Rood.
He is survived by: his wife Alyce M. Rood; his children, Victor Rood, Larry Pruyn (late Deanna) and Karen Cubr (Chris); his grandchildren, Bryan Mayo, Melissa Grysh (Paul) and Allyson Coyne (Brad); his great grandchildren, Paul Jr., Kayleigh, Leah and Emma; and his siblings, Helen Rood, Theodore Rood (Sandy), Shirley Brztowski (Edwin), Douglas Rood (Mai) and Darlene Rood. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, cousins.
