He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Combs and Viola "Mabel" Combs (Runshe); and his brother John. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Lou McCloughan; his children, Karl Kevin (Thalia) of Bargersville, IN, Kim of Bargersville, IN, Kristi of Bargersville, IN and Tina Burke (Dennis) of Dallas, TX; his siblings-in-law, Marilyn (John), Judy Nann (Jack), Betty Manning (Jim), Arleen Lantz (Dean), Linda Vandermark (Jim), Steven McCloughan (Sharon) and Duane McCloughan (Judi); his grandchildren, Joshua Combs (Jessica), Jeremiah Combs (Amanda), Bethany Burke, Spencer Burke (Alex Barnes) and Brittany; and his nieces and nephews, Allison McConnaughhay (Cory) and Dickie. He is also survived by four great grandsons.
