He was predeceased by: his wife Carrie Bell Ward of Red Bay, Florida.; his son Dale Lee Ward; his great grandchild Tyler Jett; his parents, Willie Ward and Edna Yates Ward; and his siblings, Douglas Ward, Wallace Ward and Marie Ward Russ.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Hopper (Eddie), Barbara Ward, Debra Stumpf (Randy) and Glenn Ward. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren, a daughter in law and numerous nieces and nephews.
