He was predeceased by: his parents, Nevol Sue and Mary Sue (Connally); and his wife Lynn Barnard (Goldberg). He is survived by: his sister Debra Kennedy (Mark); his children, Dana S. Gehret (Linda), Bonnie B. Waters (Forrest) and Garry Barnard, Jr.; and his grandsons, Winston Kennedy Scales (Richard) and Forrest Clayton Waters.
