He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Susana Diaz and Nicasio Cortés; his wife Maria Josefa Cortés; his sister Luz Cortés; his stepbrother Luis Calderon; his children, Vilma Cortés Yonnone and David José Cortés; his children-in-law, Tony Yonnone and Aldona Tront-Cortés; and his grandchildren, Desi and Renzo Yonnone.
