She was predeceased by: her parents, Harron Clifford Coon, Sr. and Lena Loveta Coon; her son David Ryan Hicks; and her grandson Dawson Cole Hicks. She is survived by: her husband James Wendell Hicks; her sons, James Randel Hicks, Ronald Wayne Hicks (Tara), Daniel Rubin Hicks (Shannon) and Shane Rendell Hicks (Kristen); and her grandchildren, Morgan, Travis, Landon, Colton, Chase, Avery of Abby, AJ, Carleigh, Samuel, Shane, Jr. and Dawson Klaire. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
