He was predeceased by: his parents, Octavia Sanders Gauvin and Darrah Gauvin (Hank); and his grandson Joseph Duva (Joey). He is survived by: his wife Gail Monaco Gauvin; his children, Robin Desy, Bryce Desy and Justin Desy; his grandchildren, Benjamin Duva, Jason Duva, Annabelle Lograsso (Sam), Quinn Duva, Maxine Duva, Olivia Desy and Justin Desy, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Beau Lograsso and Yvaine Lograsso; and his siblings, Darralyn Gauvin, Donald Gauvin (Joe), Jan Douglass (Steve) and Jean Lee (Michael). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Donations may be made in Sandy's name to the Southeast Volusia Humane Society.
