“I miss my friend, Jessica, every day. We met at a restaurant/bar at lunchtime. She was with the love of her life, Robert. I was newly widowed and was alone. The three of us started talking and by the time they left Jessica and I had exchanged phone numbers. We became great friends getting our mani/pedis together and then we would have lunch. Robert and Jessica would invite me to join them on their date nights. We also became family, sharing holiday dinners…each taking a turn hosting.”
