As Volunteer Services Coordinator, she was truly a friend to our volunteers, many of whom recall her well. She was a highly regarded colleague to so many of her co-workers. We all remember her humor, her colorful way of expressing herself, her enthusiasm and commitment. To me, Betty was a mentor. and the epitome of the independent southern professional woman of her generation.”
